The Elephant Lifting MAS Series MAS-2-D-15 motorized trolley is a single-speed, three-phase electric hoist trolley with a 0.54-horsepower motor for a dual voltage 230V/460V power input, and designed for use with chain hoists (sold separately). The side plates and wheels are steel and fit I-beam widths of 3.94 to 5.91" with a minimum radius of 59.06". This hoist trolley has a four-point button control with a 15' cord length, and it moves maximum loads across the beam at traversing speeds of up to 39fpm/60Hz. The hoist trolley is manufacturer load-tested to 125% of rated capacity in accordance with ANSI/ASME requirements, and built to comply with European Conformity (EC) Machinery Directive 89/392/EEC, Annex II A.
Motorized hoist trolleys are typically used to suspend a hoist from an I-beam and to move the hoist along the length of the I-beam for precise positioning or load transport. They also are less commonly manufactured to suspend and move a hoist along a set of rails, a monorail, or similar specialized structure. Motorized hoist trolleys typically have a motor powered by electricity or compressed air, two side plates with flanged wheels that roll along the lower flanges of an I-beam, and a suspension plate or bar across the bottom to hold the plates together and provide a point of attachment for the hoist. They also may have a hand chain gear for added positioning precision, or a control pendant, control panel, or remote control for operating the trolley. Motorized hoist trolleys are commonly manufactured in three configurations: with a hoist, as a single unit; with a bolt and lug for a hoist already equipped for a trolley mount; or with a crossbar, hanger, or clevis for a hoist with a hook mount. Single units and lug-and-bolt attachments help minimize headroom, while hook attachments offer more flexibility when making frequent equipment changes.
