Description
Size:Roll of 125  |  Style:P120 Grit Product Description An durable aluminum oxide Stikit disc roll constructed on an A weight light paper backing. Good value. Load resistant. Convenient disc roll form. The open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade and a special loading resistant coating makes this disc a good choice when loading is a problem. Slightly more aggressive than 214U. Coat type: open coat. Gold color. Diameter: 6". P220 Grade. Maximum speed: 10000 rpm. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U is designed for convenience, combining open coat aluminum oxide discs with a handy adhesive backing ready for quick and easy attachment to a 3M™ Stikit™ Disc Pad on a random orbital sander (both sold separately). The disc roll makes the discs easy to grab while eliminating the use of disc liners. Discs are made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading for a longer service life, and make 216U discs well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass. 3M™ Stikit Discs are designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing needs. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc. A Stikit disc should be used in conjunction with a 3M™ Stikit™ Disc Pad (sold separately) that is attached to a random orbital sander. Stikit disc rolls are rolls of adhesive-backed discs that are convenient to tear off one at a time, and reduce costs by eliminating liners. Loading occurs when wood or paint dust clogs the surface of the disc and the abrasive points, which can quickly make the disc ineffective. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced so that dust and debris can collect in the spaces rather than loading the disc. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, for faster results. For more than a century, 3M has applied innovation and technology to improving our customers’ lives and supporting their business goals. Today the company, from its headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, serves industrial and commercial customers and consumers in nearly 200 countries. Abrasive Systems products, including a complete line of coated abrasives, microfinishing and microreplicated abrasives, and hardware accessories, provide the finishing touch for almost any surface modification application. The 3M brand, across thousands of products, represents consistency, superior quality, and value.
