This Boston Gear SCC1X1 shaft coupling is a clamp type with 4 screws for connecting two rotating shafts and providing low backlash. It is made of low carbon steel for strength and durability and has a black oxide finish for resistance to corrosion. It is an all-metal coupling, so no lubrication or maintenance is required. This shaft coupling has a 1" bore on both sides for attaching shafts of the same size and is suitable for use with pumps and compressors, machine tools, and gear boxes, among others.
