Homework Assignment to Assessment video In-Service Program [2 VHS Videos, Leader's Guide, Blackline Masters]

(2 VHS Videos, Leader's Guide, Blackline Masters) This video in-service program will help your faculty better understand the role of homework in the learning process. Included in this program are two one hour video presentations, a leader's guide and blackline master for all handouts. The videos address the following important topics: ACHIEVING HOMEWORK SUCCESS: Dr. Gibbs explains the four types of homework assignments. Each is discussed in the context of the major goals of education and the specific learning objectives found in the typical classroom. PARENTS DO HOMEWORK TOO: Dr. Gibbs points out that in order for students to experience homework success, parents must not only be willing to, but be capable of, providing help. Increasing the parents' ability to help their children achieve homework success is the focus of this session.
