These chisels were made to our specifications by a highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all edge tool, they will need final honing and sharpening before use. This is a Premium true Imperial 4 piece set containing the following sizes: 1/8 inch, 3/8 inch. 5/8 inch and 7/8 inch. Blades are ground at a 25 degree bevel. Blades are 4 5/8 to to 5 1/2 inches long Handles are natural Hornbeam and are 5 1/2" long. Overall sizes range in length from 9 7/8 inches to 11 inches. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs and handles have brass ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work. They come in a retail box. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool.
