About products and suppliers

Electric water heaters are a type of home appliance that provides hot water on demand. They use an internal heating element to heat the stored water and provide hot water as needed. Hot water is usually provided at a set temperature, usually ranging from 120-180ºF.

Different types of water heaters and their features

Tankless water heaters are water heaters that do not have a large storage tank that regularly refills. Instead, these water heaters heat water as it is used without storing large amounts of hot water. This eliminates standby energy losses associated with conventional storage tanks and makes them more efficient. Tankless water heaters, also known as point-of-use water heaters, provide hot water on demand. These heaters are much more efficient than traditional water heaters, as they only heat the water when needed and do not store a large amount of water in a tank. Gas water heaters are typically an efficient option when it comes to water heating needs. These heaters rely on natural gas to heat the water, which is incredibly powerful and can provide hot water quickly. Electric hybrid water heaters are hassle-free since they do not require tanks or pipes, so users do not need to worry about routine maintenance. Most tankless water heaters are also equipped with digital temperature controls that allow users to easily adjust the heat level. Gas-powered water heaters are water heaters that use natural gas or propane to heat water, as opposed to electricity.

How to keep the water heater in good condition?

Flush out the water heater tank; flushing out the tank on the water heater helps to rid the tank of any dirt and debris, as well as helps to maintain the tank's efficiency. Replace the water heater anode rod: over time, the anode rod will corrode and needs to be replaced to maintain the effectiveness of the water heater tank. Besides, wrapping insulation around the hot water pipes (hot water pipe insulation) will help retain the heat of the water, making the water heater more efficient. Check the temperature setting: Keeping the temperature setting on the water heater in the advised range (generally 120°F and 140°F) will help extend the life of the tank and save energy. Finally, monitor water pressure: High water pressure can create too much pressure on the tank, resulting in quick water heater failure. Make sure the water pressure is set correctly.
